Obedience & Social Classes

"Have you ever been to a Dog Trainer and all you end up doing is walking around in a circle or doing figure of eights amongst 20 dogs while they bark at each other and lunge? It is a story that we hear on a regular basis along with the belief that people are not getting value for money for such "Old School" training techniques. That is why we devised classes that focus on the individual, on learning new skills and most importantly focus on your relationship with your dog. We promise to do everything we can to improve your relationship with your dog."

Steve Breach

Head Trainer

Each class at the Dog Adventure Centre is different. Although we follow a core syllabus with regards to what we need to teach you and your dog, how we get there is an entirely different matter. You see, our classes focus on working with the individual within the goup so that everyone can understand an array of problems and techniques to solving them. You may come to one set of classes one year and find it runs one way and then come to another set a year later to find that it is totally different but equally effective.

Each set of classes focuses on core obedience skills such as Sit, Down, Stay, Heel, Recall. We combine the core skills with teaching you how to handle your dog correctly and safely without hurting the dog and without causing the dog to look at you as if you have just done the worst thing in the world.

Our classes use reward based methods which are proven to improve your relationship with your dog and give them physical and mental stimulation which all dogs need to become well balanced members of the family.
